What's in season over the next few months? That's what we're unpicking in this post, with Spring Summer 2021 styles seen on the runway, and reinterpreted by some of our favourite fashion influencers here.
On ebloggers, we think style is personal, but second-hand style is best. That's why all items on our site are sourced directly from the UK's leading influencers, ready to be worn again in your wardrobes! You get the hottest trends, biggest discounts, and support the environment and charity in the process.
Here's what to look out for in Spring Summer 2021, coming to an Instagram feed near you...
1. At-Home Glamour
While we may be bored of the same four walls, there's nothing like donning something shimmery and casting disco-ball reflections wherever you go! This trend, seen drifting across runways as some form of escapist joy, is here on social media too. We particularly love Hammasa's version of this - a gorgeous, form-fitting dress with sparkly earrings.
2. Baggy Trousers
The wide-legged denim trend has expanded into traditional trouser fabrics for this season, and makes for a tailored yet floaty aesthetic perfect for summer. Try a pair of linen trousers, or even an entire linen suit, as Kavita Mehta styles out here.
3. Bralettes & High-Waisters
Bralettes and high-waisters were spotted all over the SS21 runways last year, but when it comes to the wearability factor, it also takes a dollop of confidence too! Go for high fashion with silk and satin, or instead take a dressed-up-dressed-down approach like The Real Natalie does here. Loving the flannel shirt too!
If you like a little structure, but you're not willing to bare too much flesh, a corset is the way to go. Pair with fluffy skirts, high-waisted trousers, stomping boots, or big hair - however you style it, just make sure it gives a little contrast! We love how Yewande Biala is styling her corset-puff-sleeve combo with high-waisted trousers here.
5. Cut Outs
While cut outs may be this season's hottest trend, hold off slashing your t-shirt Regina George-style just yet. Leave it to the designers to provide us with fresh shapes and cut outs that highlight bodies of all shapes and sizes in a modern approach. We particularly love how this backless top frames Rebecca Jackson's petite frame!
6. Floaty Maxi Dresses
If you're a summer person, the floaty maxi dress is a must-have. Perfect for holidays, brunching, or simply floating around your home on a hot summer's day! Whether you pair it with sandals and a sun hat, or heeled boots and sunglasses as Amy Neville does here, is really up to you!
7. Modern Feminine
Tailored womenswear has had an overhaul, instead focusing on larger silhouettes, street-style hoods, and androgynous accessories this season. Live your modern feminine life in an oversized blazer or kitten heel slips, just like Charlotte Buttrick styles out here.
It's a look that's as classic as it is on-trend right now: monochrome. Pair black and white for a striking look. We love Danielle Vanier in her black-and-white check dress here, perfect for both the monochrome trend, and the maxi dress trend too!
Or as Vogue likes to call it, midriff flossing! Get some string, wrap it round your tummy, and voila. Well, it might not be quite as easy as that, but Ellis Ranson certainly makes it seem so in her casual Sunday attire!
